SESSHIN: Eye-Opening

First sesshin that opened the Black Scorpion Temple with William Nyogen Yeo Roshi´s blessing in honor of his Master Maezumi Roshi. 

 

The TEN holds an original 18th century japanese bell which belonged to Maezumi Roshi´s family through direct linage of the Soto tradition. 

 

Officiating a beautiful ceremony called Kaigen Kuyo, Nyogen Roshi opens the eyes of a wooden Buddha figurine with a brush as  a symbol so He can set his gaze upon this marvelous place wich gives a home to the practice of Zen Buddhism.
